VR Tait M Car - Standard Cab Clerestory Roof (213M) - STL File
STL File ONLY
N Scale (1:160) Victorian Railways Tait M Car - Standard Cab & Clerestory Roof.
This model represents the Tait M Car with a Standard Cab and Clerestory Roof prior to conversion in the 1970's to reduce glass costs by blanking out every second window.
Tait trains were initially referred to as "Sliding Door" trains, as opposed to the Swing Door trains then in service. From the 1950s, they became known as Reds or Red Rattlers, following the introduction of the blue-painted Harris trains.
This car is designed to accept a Tait M Car Chassis (included with purchase), and will require pantograph and MicroTrains 1017 bogies with attached couplers to complete.
This model is available as a 3D print from our Shapeways Shop, both models are required.
